Stefano Ricci presented its new collection on the first day of 82nd Pitti Immagine Uomo fair at the Uffizi Gallery. The most prestigious museum of Italy hosted a fashion show for the first time in its history - just like the Parisian Louvre opened its doors for the Salvatore Ferragamo show last week.

The Florentine fashion house celebrated it’s 40th anniversary: honoring its tradition of craftsmanship and Africa, a land that has been a source of inspiration. Interesting to see that the models chosen to present the collection have ages ranging from 30 to 50 years. The models paraded in safari jackets, traditional costume jackets from double-made fabrics such as cashmere and silk, and sportswear. Along their side eight Masai warriors from Tanzania walked on the 80 feet long catwalk.

The show was hosted twice for 250 guests, including diplomats and ministers, some of whom arrived by private jet.
