Stitch Menswear Trade Show is just weeks away from

its biggest show yet! With many innovative elements that are sure to make this an event to remember within the menswear fashion calendar. Vision is an exciting developmental area of Stitch that is dedicated to new and emerging designers. It was conceived as a creative platform to offer young designers the opportunity to interact with international and high-end buyers and press. The Vision area has presented the very best in home-grown and international talent, managed by a panel of experts including Central Saint Martins’ Hywel Davies and Louise Wilson. Previous designers who have participated in Vision include; J W Anderson, Carolyn Massey, Lou Dalton, Martine Rose, Omar Kashoura, Peter Jensen, Deryck Walker, David David, James Small, Baartmans & Siegal and Morgan Allen-Oliver to name but a few.

Two of the many brands confirmed to show at Vision this year include Forgotten Future and Genevieve Sweeney. Forgotten Future is the brainchild of Central St Martin’s menswear graduate Richard Dawson. He took up the decision to set up his own menswear label during the summer of 2009 and has never looked back. “I wanted to work for myself, designing product that I passionately believe in, creating investment clothes that a man will have in his wardrobe for years”. His first collection for AW10 was showcased during fashion week and instantly snapped up by premium menswear retailer Oki-Ni, hinting at the designers creative flair and commercial awareness.

Genevieve Sweeney, the Fashion Knitwear Designer specialising in menswear, recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a first class Honours in BA Fashion Knitwear and Knitted Textiles. Her designs show a clear love of knitwear, inspiration from the wider arts, personalised creative ideas, technical skills and two years of impressive commercial experience. Big things are set to happen to this talented designer.

Between the 7TH 9TH August 2011, Stitch will be co-locating with Pure Spirit for the SS12 show at the larger, new and improved Earls Court 2 venue. Brands such as Pretty Green, Original penguin, Nicholas Deakins, Superga, Weekend Offender, Peter Werth, Duck and Cover, Silas, Trikki, Stone Dri and many more will all be showing at Stitch this season.

His clothing line brand Lou Molloy will also be showing at Stitch this year adding to the bustling line up of high quality menswear clothing brands.

Media Partner Fatsarazzi, the internationally established blogger and photographer will be taking the official photographs for the event.
