For all of this, having a multidisciplinary training in fashion and design management is a fundamental way to identify the public’s needs and to notice the possibilities that lay behind them.
The management master, in collaboration with the MANGO multinational, allows you to combine creation and innovation with marketing, communication and technology, without discarding emphasis in the legal, logistic and economical keys that articulate every enterprise.
Through this balance in outlooks, our fashion and design management training is preoccupied not only with the product itself, its degree of originality and the efficacy of its execution, but also with the contact with the public, from the instant it’s aware of the product’s existence to the actual purchase. Moreover, being carried out by high level professionals and executives, the management master gives a one of a kind professionalizing chance for those who want to enter an industry of constant growth and specialization.
The fashion industry and design management studies propose a specialty in the field contemplating the following basic goals:
  • Training professionals within the international, specific and dynamic context of the fashion industry, in the field of marketing, finances and entrepreneurial strategy, being able, this way, to provide a contemporary vision of multidisciplinary nature.
  • Developing the directive and analytical necessities for carrying out entrepreneurial projects in a global surrounding, in which the use of new technologies, creativity and innovation, together with social and environmental responsibility, are fundamental.
  • Provide the tolos that will allow the student to identify and anticípate the changes in lifestyles and the preferences of consumers, as also the current and emerging trends, through creative experimentation and research.
  • Potentiating the 2.0 communication and/or the social networks as a platform, proposing a new vision in team management and in the development of collaborative policies, networking.
  • Through the study of real projects (MANGO case) and the direct contact with professors and company executives, the student obtains a real and firsthand vision of a constantly changing sector, and also acquires the capacity to identify and anticipate market opportunities.
The master aims to provide the following transversal competences:
  • Know how to apply modern management systems.
  • Understand the production fluxes
  • Know how to update content considering process timings
  • Apply management, logistic and operational controls
  • Understand the globalization and its effect on the enterprise
  • Know the current communication tools in order to reach the consumer
The Fashion Industry and Design Management master is addressed to university graduates with training in fashion or textile design and entrepreneurial sciences who are interested in amplifying their knowledge of product management and fashion enterprises. Furthermore, the master is oriented towards professionals linked to the area who are willing to update their training considering the new management techniques and market knowledge.

Title: Master in Fashion Industry and Design Management
Credits: 60 ETCS
Duration: 1 academic year
Language: Spanish
Location of studies: Barcelona Campus (Passeig de Gràcia 114, pral.) during the October-July course, and Sabadell Campus (Marquès de Comillas, 81-83) during the March-December course.
Internships: possibility to carry out internships up to 720 hours in national and international companies linked to the fashion and design world.
The classes begin during October and end in July, with another course from March to December.
Classes are taught on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 18:30 to 21:30 hours.
The Fashion Industry and Design Management master complements its specific training in merchandising, logistics and legal, fiscal and financial aspects with knowledge about the creative processes carried out in fashion, trend analysis and an understanding of the sociological implications of fashion.
Elements such as digital marketing, media strategy and advertising are also a part of a program that tries, hand in hand with MANGO, to generate a multidisciplinary approach to the industry, from its different angles.
